Painted bumper, some took the corner out in a car park and never stopped. There's a scuff about the size of a football on the left rear bumper corner now.

Best method of removing the black marks that are left? (silver car). I've tried warm soapy water and got rid of some but it still looks a mess. I know its going to leave a mark where maybe its cut into the paint and damaged the lacquer, but any tips or advice would be appreciated, other than getting it sprayed or buffed.

Good lord no. T-cut or rubbing compound will remove it. You'll probably need paint though.

3M's finnesse it , a trade product but is brilliant polish after with a decent polish as opposed to wax which we all know only shines and protects
