New tyres for 2.2 Mondeo (235 x 18)
Discussion
The fronts on my Mondeo are getting a bit thin. They are the Original Conti. Sports, which I have to say are very good. However, they are not exactly supple. To be honest the ride quality is a bit poor expecially with the "marvelous" conditions of our roads.
Anyone tried alternatives to the Conti's ?

Have PZeros on mine, good grip but not much better in terms of ride (although I have the 'sports' suspension which probably doesn't help) but wearing a little better. The Continentals seemed to wear out in no time. Pirellis a bit cheaper too and no one can match my local Ford stealers price which must be a first. Prices of this size tyre at some of the 'chains' is eye watering....Anyone tried alternatives to the Conti's ?

Thanks for the info. Mine has the sport suspension too, so I am not expecting a massive improvement, but it seems to have detoriorated a bit as the tyres have worn.
Paid about £160 a corner. Many places had prices £200+ for the Conti's. I won't be buying a fat wheeled Mondeo again!Gassing Station | Ford | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
