Does the quoted width of the 987 Boxster (1801mm?) relate to the width of the car with the wing mirrors folded in?

I put my Boxster in the garage last night for the first time and it was more of a tight squeeze than I was expecting (I used to garage my E46 without folding the mirrors - 1947mm wide), but that was without folding the mirrors in. I've found a quoted width of 1937 for the 987 Boxster including the mirrors but am just curious how much difference it will make folding the mirrors in (apologies for asking but I'm working away from home at the moment and can't simply pop out to the garage to check...)

Thanks in advance.

Did anyone find out the answer to this question? Wanting to know the width of the Boxster Spyder (1801mm) including mirrors. Some state 1937mm but I think that is with them folded, though unsure if that is possible on the latest Spyder???

...states Width - 1801 mm - 5'11" - exc. mirrors and its the same for the Spyder - a PDF of the 987 Gen.1 brochure I have confirms this. I know the 987 is slightly wider than the 986 but I think its only 20mm.

I have only got a Cayman brochure, but that states:
Width (including exterior mirrors) 1,801 mm (1,952 mm)
So the mirrors are 151mm on top of the chassis width which roughly agrees with the findings of the OP.

Don't have exact sizes but I can confirm I went from 986 to an e46 m3 to a 996 c4s and all went in garage without folding the mirrors in.

Not sure about anybody else but I found reversing into garage and driving straight out was always best plan.

Hope this helps
