I'm going with the asian guy (Tao?) from Gran Torino... you know, the kid Clint tries to help. Comically bad. I mean, really, absolutely piss poor ridiculous.

What's your nomination?

I believe the official metric used for acting ability is the Reeves scale.

0 Keanus = Excellent acting ability (worthy of an Oscar). Not a trace of Keanu in that performance.

100 Keanus = Keanu doing an English accent. Stinks of Keanu.

Wow, first two posts are the two actors I was going to nominate. Gran Torino is a brilliant film ruined by toadface. Especially the scene where he is locked in the cellar. So bad I was begging for someone take me out the back and shoot me.

Haven't seen Gran Torino. Is this guy worse than Andie McDowell in Four Weddings?

Nicholas Cage for me. Any film he is in is ruined by his presence.

S'funny you should say that, it was on Sky this morning. That scene prompted this thread!

I've put some thought to this..

There is one actor that if I see mentioned anywhere on the cover, internet etc in regards to a film I'll refuse to watch it, in fact he's such a one dimensional scenery chewer, I know if he's in it, it's not the type of film I like:

Craig Fairbrass..

Dishonourable mentions for this lot - the fact they're all much richer than me and their lives are like an extended episode of Entourage makes me weep at night sometimes, but at least they’ve all made one or two films I’ve really enjoyed.

Danny Dyer, Steven Seagal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Travolta, Will Ferrell, Jack Black

There are lots of st actors, but if you weight according to

volume of work
terribleness of acting
massiveness of wages for doing the above

Then Keanu is head-and-shoulders above the rest.

I can't understand how he gets work. Casting directors clearly think he is neither a box-office turn-off nor 'neutral', but that the $,$$$,$$$ they give him will come back multiplied, thanks to the thousands of people his name will draw into cinemas

Who are these people??? Who says - "well, the trailer doesn't look great, but Keanu's in it, so lets go!"

I always think of Harrison Ford. He's not the worst actor but I do think his expression is the same startled look in every film.

Woah there! Harrison Ford what this guy?;

Really in the WORST actor in the history of cinema thread? In a world where Pauly Shore can make 47 films, you choose Han-fecking-Solo.

Agreed, whilst no acting genius, he only registers the barest whiff of Keanu on the Reeves scale.

Steve Martin, Oh God yes! I will never watch a film with him in it even if it's wall to wall naked women.
