I am surprised that there has not been any comment here on yesterday’s MotoGP at Le Mans.
The great thing about bike racing used to be about close racing but very rarely touching. Two bikes going through esses side by side with complete trust in each other’s skills seemed to be the norm.
Going down and busting a collarbone when trying to get a fast lap in practice is one thing, but the close and frequent contact during races now seems to be getting out of hand.
Can MotoGP bikes now only work on the race line like F1, or is this all about getting at Simoncelli?
