Feels down on power
Discussion
After a recent activity day at North Wield Airfield + a track day a few weeks prior, the car feels a little down on power, like it's got a sadness in its engine and a tear on its seal.
I haven't changed the plugs for ages (ever?), and it's probably about due an oil/filter change. Is there anything else I should do to refresh it's inners? Any other filters or oils or anything else that I should do to perk it up a bit? It has got 101k on the clock.

just the oil and filter change would probably make a fair bit of difference.
Interesting, I know this is true, but any reason why? Is it just because the lack of lubrication of the pistons and crank is making it work harder? Also, I was going to change to fully synthetic, is there any reason I shouldn't?

old oil thickens up with contaminants etc and with hot running you get get left with all the heavy oil which doesn't perform as well. no reason not to go to fully synth especially if you can get it cheap from costco or on offer from opieAlso, I was going to change to fully synthetic, is there any reason I shouldn't?
