Shortish notice unplanned spell of leave coming up in three weeks.

Any suggestions? No special criteria, obviously decent state of repair, clean etc, not filled up with raggedy furniture from the second hand shop, two bedrooms minimum, wifi access be nice, car parking off street, other than that no real restrictions.

Location anywhere from in title above, could be town, village, farm, coast, middle of nowhere are all possibles. No issues if have to drive to get to pubs and restaurants as more or less TT. No kids in party.

I'll be looking @ travel advisor, e.g. Hoseasons and usual places. Wondered if PH, as usual, can come up with a left field recommendation from any personal good experiences.

There have been several threads in the past recommending Sandy Balls

we stayed here a few weeks back: www.newforestcottages.com

Just on edge of the forest (not far from sandy balls) and quick access out to m27 for the coast.

Booo.

I wouldn't worry too much, I grew up in the New Forest, and can assure you it hasn't changed a single bit in thirty years. It'll all still be there, completely unchanged next time!

And if you leave it a bit, the Beaulieu motor museum refurbishment might be finished. I hope that was on your list!

Beaulieu was prime target, also Gosport submarine and other dockyard stuff.

As well as the Dorset coast.

We found a few places on trip advisor but nobody could agree what and where.

Good job tbh as any booking would have been 100% deposit, and then the barney with work to claim back.
