Just had a silly quote for my car

Its a 1991 MX5 1.6 Eunos and it has ben suggested I put on classis as opposed to normal insurance. No NCB to use as on other car

Any suggestions?

I have got one quote from Performance Direct, any good?

Try richard egger insurance REIS and speak to steve. My quote was £257.90 with mods on car, just got to send my photos off and no claims evidence from previous insurer.

But I am 44 and live in Bury area.
My renewal quote from A-Plan was a stupid £424 for the year.

Direct line and Admiral have always been good for me.

You mention you have no No Claims Bonus to use, unfortunately as you no doubt know this is going to mean the vast majority of quotes are higher than you'd like them to be.

Is the car garaged or alarmed, I have a TOAD alarm/immobiliser which isn't an expensive alarm but gives it Thatcham category 1 (from memory) which helps.

Classic policy through Footman James = £193, limited to 5,000 miles per annum.
