Alas my friends after nearly 4yrs of almost trouble free cerb ownership i think it maybe time to sell up and move on. :-(
Due to the fact i've only done less than 7k mls, kids getting bigger and biggest draw back........a new pup !!!!!!!!!
So all you petrolheads out there my requirements are as follows
1. 4 wheels
2. At least 4 seats
3. A big boot for a weimaraner ( big dog )
4. And must be Fast as F@ck. Goes without saying i suppose.
Have been checking out the audi rs6 est and the merc e55amg est.
Any you guys got any ideas.
Budget upto approx £18K

I had a RS6 to unreliable for me... so took it back.

14k worth of warranty work done in 4 months.

Have a look at RS246.com loads of info over there and some really helpful people.

Thats what I just went for , to ferry the bassets about in. Was a toss up between that and a C32 AMG. Don't want something too new to get chewed and drooled over!!! And kept the TVR

mine fitted in the Tuscan and the Cerb - although admittedly he needs a front seat. Buy a diesel estate for all that and keep the Cerboid. 90% of the time it will be as fast as anything on the road and with your precious cargo keep the 10% for a proper speed machine.

AMG or Cayenne, still going to be a league or two short of what you're used to, so why pay through the nose for something that is ultimately a compromise, at best!

I got a Nissam Murano, and am happy. Not AMG/Cayenne quick, but enough to keep it mildly interesting, which compared to a Tiv is the best you're gonna get out of a dog-carrying-monster-truck.

What about a e39 M5. You could have a VERY nice one with that budget and some change to get the exhaust sorted so it sings a bit more !

The last RS4 Avants were well praised, but more than your buget. Can get older RS4 and RS6 for that money. AMG are good, but old man image?

I have same issue, 2 dogs and one 4mth old. Finding a fast car is tricky. I was thinking of a Cerb and leaving dogs at hoome! Currently wife has a subaru (hawkeye style) estate which works, but only 220ish bhp. Easy tune to 290. If you need loads of power could drop in a tuned STI engine into one of them and get 400bhp quite easily. But for that spend, you may prefer just to buy an older RS4 which has a less chav image? Some of the RS4s are also tuned to 450+
