Does anyone know if the 4.0 Chim will be ok with a Griff 5.0 ECU? I have a suspected fault on mine & have seen one for sale, both part numbers on the unit are the same as on mine, so i'm guessing it may just be a case of swapping the fuel map chip. Any ideas out there??
Thanks

I have a spare 4.0 HC ECU sat in my bag that I bought to check whether I had an ECU related fault (I didn't) ... someone on here was talking to me about using it to diagnose a problem he had/has and (oddly) I've heard nothing from him since I offered to lend him it! :-D

How much are they asking for the 5.0 one?

Nothing special about a "TVR" ECU, they are just bog standard Range Rover / Disco units with a TVR fuel chip. Just avoid units pre around 1992, and the fuel chip programming is a different, and not compatable with Post 1992 units.

Mark, don't some of the Range Rover units have a hardwired rev limiter?

Speed limiter (112 mph assuming std RR tyre sizes) based on road speed sensor input. Rev limit is on the Eprom...
