Griff went in for mot today and failed due to rear plates not been lit up with lights on! I changed the plates after the last m.o.t so have not had this problem in the past. Can anyone let me know the answer as to how the lights behind the plate are supposed to light the front of the plate??

you need a honeycomb plate that lets the light through, you can get these from racing green cars in ash, hants,
probably many other places 2

Yes, you need translucent plates copied from the Alvis TA14 (which also happened to be owned by Peter Wheeler at the time, oh and myself.)
