I'm vaguely considering four nights away in August and I've always fancied going away in a 'proper' Vee Dub campervan.

What's the reality of spending four nights in one of these with two kids going to be like?

I'm not a very nice person if I'm sleep deprived evil

It sounds like hell on earth to me smile Plus you'll pay a princely sum for the pleasure, have you seen the price of a good one?

They can be hired for a reasonable amount.

Ah, I presumed you were buying. A mate of mine had one, very nice but very small inside. I think I'd rather hire something bigger even though you won't look as cool.

This. Pure hell. Been in a caravan before, fcensoreding hated it.

ETA: Caravans might be different. I dunno.

a mate in work used vanillasplits (google it) and loved it - they have proper '60s splits and more modern campers too.

my folks also had a 72 bay when we were kids growing up and we had some great times..
