Rover V8 Turbo clutch
Discussion
Clutch was a macleod street twin but alas was wrongly fitted and gave up the ghost whilst engine was being mapped
I tried to source an identical one from real steel who just gave me the run around for a couple of months after promising to source a new one.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I got told to get a AP 6 Paddle, keep your existing cover and that should do the job. I know someone running with one in a procharged sierra massive torque with no problems.
He says buy direct from AP and he thinks was less that £100, I can see them on ebay

Probably gonna be the route I take.

I bought a clutch from that eBay seller once. Best email me about how well it went to avoid breaking rules.
Have you thought of asking Superclutch? I remember them having some nice twin and triple plate things.
I know all about that suppliers usual clutches but as per original AP should this be ok?? are there fakes around??Have you thought of asking Superclutch? I remember them having some nice twin and triple plate things.

Hi Stevie, When the clutch was removed it was thought it had been fitted wrongly as there was a heavy score mark on one of the plates and the floater ring was also badly worn.
It was sent to real steel who confirmed original thoughts and made noises about reconditioning or getting another, since then a severe lack of contact by either mail or returning phone calls.
I`ve also mailed you concerning your old clutch you mentioned previously some time ago.
What are my quickest easiest options. thanks.

definitely padle clutch for that power- there's a few guys in the comp safari scene using them- they are really Off/On though so take a bit of getting used to!
Street twin drives like a totally standard clutch.Even the AP Paddle I had used was very drivable and quite smooth. Nowhere near as nice as the twin though
