Had a good hunt around the forum and can't find anything usefull.

Recently brought my first BMW, an E39 540i that is cleaner than a nuns chuff apart from needing a new power steering pump. Have been quoted £280 for the pump and a two week wait. Does anyone know where I can get one a)cheaper and b)sooner? I am based in South London but am happy with mail order suppliers.

Thanks

Always seem to be well priced.

Its quit handy because I know that a lot of the local independents use them; I got a quote for some work from one place who wanted near £200 for a part that I knew only cost them £70 on the website.

Yes, highly recommended as well as GSF.

Both stock a lot of original equipment parts at a lot less than a main dealer.

I always prefer to use GSF than euro. The parts tend to be better quality. I've had some shocking wheel bearings and suspension parts from them. That said, I had a water pump from GSF that caused the viscous fan to shatter, bursting the radiator, cowling and denting the bonnet. They did cover all the repairs though
