Has anyone done this? Where did you go to have it done? Was it successful - ie any unexpected probs? Crucial question, how much of an arm and a leg did it cost?

Car is 2008, low mileage (keeper) and new to me, but could do with cc for longer M way journeys, to help avoid over exhuberance and points, as much as fuel cost, at present 34- 5 mpg at steady 80ish!

I fit VDO electronic speed limiters which will tap into most fly-by-wire throttles including CAN vehicles. They're meant for small trucks and minibuses, but will generally go into anything with an electronic throttle. We've fitted one to a BMW 320d recently.

As part of this is we also do aftermarket cruise control using the same box without the speed limiter software inside.

The cruise control kits work out at about £300 for the kit plus fitting and plus extra sensors / CAN adaptors if needed.

There are loads of fitting options online.
