I have been having a few problems with my Noble, the latest is the battery a little too close to the exhaust which was fitted without any heat wrap. Amazingly the car worked, fortunately I didn't drive it too far before it went into South West Lotus who pointed out that the battery was not as it should be!

THe stock exhaust is heat wrapped from the front turbo, well it was on my 2004 3R, did you put a new exhaust without heat wrap?

looks like your battery is fitted the same as mine... ie across the car.... most M12's have the battery in the same place but front to rear hence its further from the stock exhaust.

Really? Does make sense to do that but my 3 will only accept across fitment due to the mounts. Maybe the late cars were changed?

nope tuxmans car is earlier than mine and is front to rear!

I considered changing my battery mounts, but instead I decided it would be easier to remove the turbo altogether and re-route the exhaust jester

That's a bad one! Any frame damage from spilled battery acid? As a standard practice, we wrap the battery with heat shielding whenever we replace one...

No damage from acid - the car was misfiring for another reason and I was therefore driving it slowly before the damage was discovered. Both battery and exhaust are now protected!

Hi Mark, had a look at your car the last time I was down at SWLC and I was wondering how I could swap tyres hehe

Hoping to pick my car up from them this weekend after fitting Andys (not very) old turbos, they are having to adapt the chassis cross member to accomdate for the larger turbo. The M400 had smaller box section where it passes the front turbo, so I'm told.

Rear turbo I would have thought?

Didn't have to alter mine when l first fitted T28's, Also there is no chassis bar near the front (bulkhead) turbo !
