Freelander 2 Fuel Guage tomfoolery...
Discussion
Hi guys,
My uncle's 07 Freelander 2 (SE TD4) was acting up yesterday.
He was driving a short distance back from town centre and the fuel guage was showing half, as he came to a stop at some traffic lights 3 miles up the road the fuel warning light came on and the guage dropped suddenly to empty, after a minute or so the guage returned to half and the light went off. The garage he spoke to said that it was probably the fuel sensor (seems common sense) but that to reach it they would have to remove the prop shaft and it would take approx 8 hours?! Is this a common fault? If so is it definately the sensor?? Thought i would run it by the oracles that are the ph faithful for him..
Cheers guys
