How is this even remotely safe?

I'm missing something here..

NOTE - DISCS ARE ORIGINAL BREMBO DISCS
THE PERFORMANCE TOUCH IS TAILORED BY OUR APPROVED ENGINEERING WORKSHOP
So essentially this guy takes standard brembo discs, gets a fricken god knows what and cuts out grooves onto the discs...

Surely manufacturers like Brembo and EBC just cut grooves from solid discs when they make discs grooved though?
Like I said I don't know about how the grooves affect a disc that was solid to begin with but it doesn't look like its been done by a monkey with a grinder.
I'm not sure I would buy them but I'm fairly confident they wouldn't explode violently and kill everybody.

Thats the whole point though, you can trust Brembo themselves to get it safe and right, you can trust EBC etc etc, but can you really trust some person in a warehouse in Dewsbury?
And if he doesn't get it right then surely you're playing with lives..

You've not owned any EBC drilled/grooved discs have you?

So, don't buy them. And if he doesn't get it right then surely you're playing with lives..
And playing with lives is somewhat an extreme, UNFOUNDED and if honest ridiculous claim. That is, unless you have some evidence to the contrary?
I believe Trent Saab/TSL did this before they got out of the Saab business and concentrated on Scoobies, their reosning being that the Brembo discs are of very high quality, high carbon grey cast iron and there were no grooved (Brembo Max et al) Brembos for the applications they needed.
Although I got plain discs with my Ferodo DS3000 pads as that was what they worked best on according to Graham...
(This was all around the turn of the century BTW).

An OEM manufacturer would carry out various calculations, finite element analysis and testing on grooved or drilled discs and if neccesary adjust the manufacturing process, materials and dimensions of the work piece so that they may/may not be different to the standard discs they produce.
The simple fact is nobody knows what modifications the OEM manufacturer has done/would need to do to make them safe and therefore unless this place in dewsbury has its own engineers and testing then the only thing I would fit them to is the bin.

Hmm..
How are grooved discs like that normally made? Cast with the grooves in, or machined afterwards
I'm not a big fan, all of these edges and angles attract stress concentrations and heat. If it's been done properly by someone that's spent some time testing and analysing the heat and stress build up in the disc, fair enough, but as has been said, not so keen when it's been done by some guy in his shed.

Has anyone heard of CRN performance?
