I am travelling down to East Sussex tommorrow to visit my lad for the weekend, best part of 800 miles there and back.
The dilema I have is,

Option 1-- do I go in the Tiv and do 25mpg(if I'm lucky) therefor 32 gallonsyikes of gogo juice and 7-8 hours.

Option 2--Go on the bike, Apprila RSV and use less fuel but get there quicker amongst the traffic.

Option 3--Or be totally sensible and go in the clio dci and get 60 mpg.

Option 3 is the wild card that I don't really want to happen. The possibility of bad weather on the bike doesn't really concern me, although it would be nice if it was nice, for the Tiv also of course.

mmm..What would your lad love to see more?..Dont think it would be a clio..possibly a bike..definitely a TVR..smokin
Even though it would probably cost an arm and a leg in go go juice just plan out the 30 or so petrol stations you will be stopping at along the way..yikes

Got to be the Mille - much as I'm a TVR fan, I'm probably a bigger bike fan (don't own one now though) and the RSV is one nice machine - short of an RSV4 in Al-Italia colourssmile

Mrs TT says she'd prefer me to go in the Tiv cos its safer than the bike rolleyes

Only thing that concerns me about the bike is I haven't ridden for any more than 1/2 an hour at one time for the last 2 years. Numbum and achy arms springs to mind.
I think the tiv is winning so far, especially with its newly sprayed rear tea traylick

Tony

TVR...... they are great for the long haul, you will get to East sussex and still want to drive some more.

Put the petrol on the card and worry later, its good to have a reason to travel (each way of your 3 is going to cost something).

On the 400 I put 6k on the clock last year and that was all pleasure biggrin

Safe driving

Well its been decided

THE TIV IT IS woohoowoohoowoohoo

Decided my old bones won't handle being tilted over the front end of the RSV for so long. So am going to try real hard to go all the way with no roof. Even if it rains, I wont melt.

A5086---A66---M6---M42---M40---M25---M23---A264---A22 and rest.......in a bloody caravan. But he did say he woul take me for some drink

ONLY 746 miles there and back, so google earth says. 373 miles- 6h 30min---yeah right eek

It's usually annoingly boring to take the sensible road, so you really made a right choice.
