Clutch for a Chim 450 fit a 500?

BHP is not so relevant to the clutch. It's torque that matters.

My instinct is that the clutch for most cars are rated for enough torque to cope with the engine's output with a healthy margin on top, so you'll almost certainly be fine. I own a remapped turbo diesel that produces substantially more torque than the clutch was designed to cope with. The remap was at least 50,000 miles ago, and the clutch now has more than 100,000 miles on it and is still going strong.
Edited to add: Should I post this message three or four times, like everyone else has on this thread?

Hi Guys,
The reason for asking is there's a brand new 450 Clutch Kit on Fleabay. And whislt I love a bargain, I certainly would not fit the 450 Clutch if I could not confirm it's suitability to handle my modified 500. That's why I still want to know if anyone can still answer the original question, are they one and the same??
Thanks,
Ian
