Finally got my rear wing sprayed. I decided to do it myself then I can only complain about my work if it was no good. I sent the fuel flap off to a company in Brighton that would colour match it for £8 on top of the paint and thinners price.
Not the best pictures in the world, but I am pleased with the end result. Sprayed it yesterday and fitted this morning. It has a bit of orange peel that I will wet sand out and pollish up in a few days

Yer right mr z, I knew I could do it too, I was just being extreeeeemely lazy.
GV.... I used cellolose. Was going to lacquer on top but think maybe not now. I was going to order 2k paint but I have misplaced my breather system, maybe threw it out/gave it away, can't remember, not thinking I would need it again after spraying the S2 a few years ago.
Strange thing about thinners. I thought it was there purely to thin the paint for spraying, then the thinners evaporated away.
Seems not, as there are lots of different types. I ordered what I thought was spraying thinners, then when I spoke to the shop they told me "high gloss thinners" would be better.
So there is---
> Standard thinners
> High gloss thinners
> Universal slow thinners
> Universal fast thinners
> High gloss extra flow thinners
> Synthetic thinners
and also similar for 2k paint

Just noticed what looks like a small hole in your spoiler..Top left N/S..What is it?
Also i done a bit of reading up on the orange peel effect..Apparently its where the thinners evaporates before the paint has had a chance to level out..Not sure whether you will be able to polish it out as it recommends rubbing down slightly and blowing over again..Sorry if ive upset the apple cart..How bad is the peeling?.

yep, that hole is for the leccy ariel.
Wet sanded it with 1500 wet n dry to get rid of orange peel and it's pollished back up lovely.
I have a major complaint about sourthern birds after my trip down south, the feathered kind though. One of them s
t on the wing sometime on Friday and I never got it washed off untill Sat afternoon and the bloody thing has etched into the paint.
May need to respray that section if more wetndry won't take it out

Depends how big the terdy was and what colour...I feed a couple of wood pigeons where i live and if i dont feed them they get the right hump..They decorated my cover a while back and im sure it said F U..Not sure if they were trying to say Feed Us or Fk U...So i shot em and made a pigeon pie..
Two things..Firstly..Glad the paint has polished out nice..Second..Why do you paint the ariel pink and when your excited press the button..
