Their spokesman (Tom Evans) was interviewed on TalkSport at around 4 o'clock this morning (I couldn't sleep, before you ask). He was absolutely, 100%, unwaveringly convinced that Judgement Day was upon us this Saturday and that most of us had one way tickets to Hades..

He actually sounded quite an intelligent and well spoken chap - for a fruitloop, anyway.. silly

We're not sure if it will happen at the same time everywhere, because times are different. But it is supposed to happen simultaneously around the world.

I assume then that when Sunday morning comes around as normal his faith will be battered beyond belief and he'll start to lead a normal life?

Oh, of course not. I find these people quite offensive personally.

well i have to cut a hole in the wall on Sunday, so it would save me from that, but i have also paid for the tickets for the summer holiday so i would also be out of pocket, i think its dashed un-sporting that the sky fairies intend to end us all before i have been away, can't they wait 6 months or so. mind i would have to do the hole so ...

You've got to love his reasoning...

Loonytune said:
Harold Camping has warned that the Rapture would come on May 21st 2011 for years, and end nears, many are left questioning if his Prophecy is fake. The Bible has taught Christians to always be ready for the Second Coming of Jesus at any time, sparking Judgement Day predictions throughout history. Even Harold Camping had a previous prediction of the Return of Jesus for the Rapture that was incorrect due to a mathematical error – when his September 1994 date came and went without incident. What makes him so sure that this year, this date of May 21 2011, will in fact be the date of the Rapture?

The number 5 equals “atonement”, the number 10 equals “completeness”, and the number 17 equals “heaven”.

Christ hung on the cross on April 1, 33 AD. The time between April 1, 33 AD and April 1, 2011 is 1,978 years.

If 1,978 is multiplied by 365.2422 days (the number of days in a solar year), the result is 722,449.

The time between April 1 and May 21 is 51 days.
51 + 722,449 = 722,500.

(5 × 10 × 17)2 or (atonement × completeness × heaven)2 also equals 722,500.

Thus, Camping concludes that 5 × 10 × 17 is telling us a “story from the time Christ made payment for our sins until we’re completely saved.”
silly

Its not the end of the world, its the 'Rapture, the end of the world is 21st October.

A lot of Americans think its the second coming of Christ this weekend, hope the weather holds out.
