Rv8 heads

I need a pair of heads for the 5 litre bottom end I have just bought.
which has turned into a bit of a lemon in the fact that its been built quite poorly,but thats another story and was coming apart anyway.
It would be nice if people could just be honest,I would have bought it anyway.

I have been offered a pair of bv heads off a 93 chim 430 but they are in really poor condition,two of the rocker shaft bolt threads are gone one head and one on the other,some coarse corrosion around the water galleys,broken stud flange one one side,some big scuffs on the face where they have been tossed around for years etc...and quite expensive at the same time.
Will these fit on a later cross bolt block and are they worth spending what could be quite a bit of dough on.
Would I be better off buying something ready to go or get the heads from my 4 litre grinall done and use them?although I`d much rather leave the 4 litre in one piece.
I dont want to win le mans,just something with good low/mid range usability.
I dont really have a plan yet or have even thought about fueliing/manifolds etc, so I`m open to all suggestions.Whats out there?

Totally agree on the V8D heads and they transformed my engine.

Alternatively the new Real steel heads which are a new casting should offer more than the V8Dev parts

Mmm, I was looking at these earlier.

The real steel site is very useful, a lot of my engine parts came from them.
