Jim Clark rally 27th-29th May
Discussion
I am going to spectate for the first time this year. Any advice on good spots to watch/photo would be appreciated. Biggest problem so far has been finding accomodation as all the B&B's in the area seem to be booked up. I think I have sorted that now. Is it worth staying on for the historic event on the Sunday?
The Reivers rally. on the Sunday is well worth it, a much more interesting mix of cars than the main event for me, it's not a historic rally though, that runs on the Saturday behind the main event. The entry lists are on the Jim Clark rally website to give you an idea of what to expect.
Where abouts are you Padgett? I stay with friends who live just outside Duns and have the rally come past their house every couple of years, not this year though sadly, so we'll have to go a bit further than the garden wall for a spot of action.

Hi All, i will be there again this year. Can't wait.
Best thing as mentioned already check out the website and download the maps. If you click the link to the councils road closures you get even more detailed maps this year.
Enjoy i know i will

The Sunday is a good day so yes well worth staying. This is my second year last year we camped and couldn't even find a campsite and had to camp on some private grounds, ended up being pulled up by the police, they were really nice tho, think because i had kids just let us stay. This year booked Travelodge in Berwick about 30 min drive from Duns and depending on what stage you go bit further. Duns is always booked up early for this event so remember for next year. We're on the road between Swinton Mill and Coldstream, right on the corner where they turn off onto a side lane. Aye, the Friday night is good entertaining fun, watch out for startled deer though.
Good news for right thinking rally fans, according to todays Motorsport News David Bogie has pulled his Evo from the Reivers and will run his 6R4 instead. Hurrah, it looked like being a 6R4-free event

I think you can also count Andy Horne's beast in the Reivers Rally
