Tag Kirium. Repair or Replace?
Discussion
Hi All,
Having owned a Tag Heuer Kirium for what must be 16 years now I need some advice. In that time its run faultlessly with I think two battery changes. However now the Clasp and Catch have worn out and the watch won't stay closed. Initial quote is about £160 for a repair via a Tag agent. Also the pin that locates and maintains the curve of the metal strap from face to strap (i.e. the first link) has worn so will need to ask for a cost on that.
Effectively I'm wondering if its worth repairing or perhaps using the cash towards a new model. Any one had similar thoughts or done just that?
Not really being into watches I haven't really thought about its residual value.

I am in the same position as regards the clasp on my 13 year-old Kirium and am awaiting a repair quote. TBH, it cost me $1600 13 years ago, I've worn it virtually every day since and this is it's first repair so I'll be quite happy with £160.
Saw one for sale on Watches.co.uk this morning for £595.
