Any views on this. I am thinking of buying to monitor NA and on nitrous. + the gauge looks cool to replace the clock. I know what time it is.....

I like the look of that Derek!

I also like this phrase in their add;

"Installation of the MTX Gauge is relatively simple".

Where would you stick the sensor rolleyes?

Just bear in mind that the LC1 from innovate got a bit of a bad reputation a year or two back with several failing.

If you do go this route - best find out if the importer deals with warranty of if you have to deal direct with USA.

I run an Innovate Lc-1 , and to be fair they had a bad reputation, but mine has been great. I was very carefull where I made the earths too.

Mine is coupled with the XD-16 serial gauge so I can see the AFR value that the controller is seeing , not the 0-5v signal IYSWIM.
I can then check that the ECU matches the gauge reading.

This means I can check that the calibration of the sensor is ok by simply going into overrun fuel cut, the gauge then read 20.8%

Wideband sensors are M18 thread, so different to the usual TVR (Rover based) sensors.

Anothr LC-1 and XD-16 user here (about three years), no issues apart from a slight earth offset that I got around in exactly the way Ant describes. Quite happy with it

Am i correct in assuming this can later be coupled into the forthcoming MS2?

Rather than ebay, where's a decent trusty supplier of the xd-16 and sensor?

Like the look of that bloke, wished I'd gone that way to be honest. I have the Tech-Edge wideband sensor but can't bring myself to have the gauge that goes with it as it's really naff and looks crap, so have to monitor fuel/air ratio via lap-top if I'm changing stuff. [have MS2] May change wideband later in favour of one that uses a decent gauge to have in the car.

Graham Goode Motorsport in Leicester supplied my XD-16 and provided good support when I wanted some extra mounting bits (ie posted out FoC). The controller and clock certainy work with the Emerald set up I run and I can't imagine MS will be significantly different unless the latest now has a serial input as well as the 0-5v narrowband emulator; in which case so much the better.

Drill it out and weld a new boss on, do the same the other side and swap sides every now and then to make sure both sides are running equally

I run the Auto meter one, which records peak readings on WOT and also has an alarm buzzer that you can set the min/max peak on wot which is really usefull (it saved my engine at Combe when the full pump started to fail)

Wow that is a whole lot of gauges you have there! What are they all?

Is the instrumentation behind the steeing wheel from a cerb?.... looks great!

Yep, I had no end of problems with the LC1 (Made sure all ground offsets were minimised etc), I down graded the firmware! as per help line, still managed to fry 3 x Lambda's. I would have recommended their kit but for this, the supplied software is really quite good.

Someone on the Innovate forum has persisted to get an answer as to why the LC1 basically eats Lambdas (error 8), see this thread

Click

Hopefully if the firmware works rolleyes I'll be fitting it to the cerb in the near future smile

I run a Dynojet one having put my LC1 in the bin shortly after buying it. Its one of the best on the market, amazingly simple and reliable, and is fully self calibrating. Many rolling roads I've been to also use Dynojet kits so they do have a good reputation - and are a pretty reasonable price too. Their gauges are made my Autometer as well smile

The extra dials are AFM,Pyrometer,SuperCharger Boost Pressure, oil temp,Fuel Pressure, there is another dial going where the air vent, can't remember what it is.Yes the binachle is from a Cerbera.Speedy Cables couldn't make all the dials for me so i grouped the Black Autometer ones together in the Cerbera pod.
