Good to see BAR have the car sorted for Monaco too, works on fast and slow circuits. Looks promising.

And MS only three quarters of a second up too.

I suppose that we can pray that he is on light fuel?

Jenson is currently top in 2nd practice, 1m15.520s lap. Schumacher is 9th on a 1m16.540

But Schumacher ends up quickest on a 1m14.7

Ominous - at all the GP's so far this year, MS has walked first practice, only to be merely midfield in the second, with BAR up top.

All looked set to continue until......

Also for stat fans, how many times has Sato beaten Jenson in 1st practice, only for authority to be reascerted in practice 2?

Sato is a grade A Nutter so prolly why hes so fast round there.

And coulthard seems to be doing well as normal round there again.

Now I realise he gets more track time than his team mates, and can push harder (not having to totally protect the engine), but it's Anthony Davidson's first time at Monaco. Second to MS is pretty damned impressive by any measure.

With all the talk about tests for Villeneuve and Pizzonia with Williams, surely someone should be knocking on his door?

Sato is bl**dy fantastic. I think he's great, especially after seeing him in his F3 days at Brands: he was thew oinly driver who would take Dingle Dell without lifting, JUST catching the car each time. He gained about 0.3 second per lap on that move alone.

100% balls. A great driver in the making, in my opinion...
