Garage changed brake pads but left the old one behind!
Discussion
Hi,
As per the title I had my rear brake pads changed a couple of days ago by my local independent garage. I had noticed a strange rattling sound come from the offside rear wheel on the way home from the garage. I took the wheel off today to see if I could see what it was and there is one half of the old pad stuck between the disc and the bottom of the brake disc shield! Do you think it will be a simple case of getting the garage to remove the old pad and all is well or is there the chance that the old part has scored the disc? It is a pretty loud rattle when driving along. Needless to say I will be expressing my dissatisfaction with them.
