1/4 mile time for a remap 2004 - 204bhp E46 330d Sport

Hi folks, a wee question if I may. Anyone on here taken their 204bhp version of the E46 BMW 330d with a remap or tuning box down the 1/4 mile run? You should be running close to 250bhp? What time did you get? any issues with the clutch / gearbox ?

Mine is the early 187 e46 330d but remapped and I have been to Santa pod. No trouble at all with clutch etc. It's not much harder on the car than normal driving really. I was surprised how slow it was. Over 16 seconds. There is an initial buzz and it's accelerating well for about 10s. Then it feels so slow I was literally driving with one hand by the time I crossed the line! Felt like I was just cruising up a motorway! Was fun but came away desperate for a quicker car! Are u doing it?

Yes I've taken my down the strip at Crail a few times. I have the 2002 184bhp version with the auto / steptronic box. I have fitted a second hand tuning box and the best time I got was 15.5 secs @ 88.6mph. I have a few vids on You Tube if you want to check them out.

I'm toying with the idea of getting myself a 204bhp version with a manual 6 speed box and getting it remapped or maybe a tuning box for it. Should be good for 250bhp :-)
