Mk 2.5After Market Battery Clamp & Tray

I recently changed the battery on my 2002 Mk2.5. The replacemnt is not the same size and shape as the original unfortunately so the battery clamp and tray are no longer suitable for it. Is it possible to buy clamps and trays off the shelf for after market batteries?

Yes, but I don't know where. It's a bit late now but you should have bought the right battery instead. If it's a standard lead-acid battery make sure you have the breather pipes venting out of the boot.

I'd presumed that the battery I was going to get would have been the same dimensions as standard.

The standard battery is sealed gel, not lead acid. Most places don't sell them.
