I know some people will probably disagree but in the past, in fact most years when the national anthems are played before the race, we the British tend not to stand up as much as other nations and I don't know why. It was commented on a couple of years ago in the grandstand by some french types when hardly any brits stood up when it was our turn and that year the Astons took the honours. Its not the queen or the idiot Royal family we are respecting, it's Britain and our achievments.

Exactly the same in the ACO Stand, all the British stand up and sing then we all sit down and the French then get up and sing theirs - the same every year

We always stand and sing out the anthem.

Notice many brits don't.

We are always put to shame by the french and their effort though.

We always stand and remove our hats, whilst singing the anthem off key.

+6 for our group.

Although we may have a 'Septic' with us this year, so we might let him off wink

Might be worth a mail to Radio Le Mans to air encouragment prior to our anthem

I remember not so long a go we used to give the froggies a run for their money
need to get back to those days.

The TL massive will be standing in the ACO stand.

I don't agree. In my experience we Brits are very patriotic, albeit we don't go for the same level of 'hard core' as our repressed Dutch friends.

My favourite anthem ever was in 2000, and coinciding beautifully with th England versus Germany European cup match.

Stunning moment.

Good idea.. I will have many people doing this together with me as I am Danish (albeit living in the UK) The danes generally have no problems with celebrating their flag or nationality.... (as anyone who has been to Le Mans in the last 10 years will testify)
