I noticed this morning that a pair of sparrows must be nesting near the eaves of my hipped roof.

Can't hear anything when they are up there but will they cause damage.

If not then live and let live, if they do cause damage then whats the best way to get rid????

Thanks in advance!

You can't "get rid", nesting birds are protected. One or two exceptions but none apply here.

Besides, sparrows won't do any harm.

I have them in my eaves every year. They don't do any harm.

Lovely little birds. They'd be welcome in my house any day. They'll also eat a few pests in the garden.

Leave them alone, they do no harm.
In the winter when they have flown south you can always block it up.
