Been checking through the posts to try and decide what tyres to put on the spare set.

Should I just go for 888's or are the R1R or TR1's good enough, I'm on std suspension?

Hi Bondy , i,ve got a spare set of rime with 888's on which are superb for track but bloody horrible on the road !!! My Road rims have brodgestone SO2'2 on and it was such a relief to go back to them having had my 888's on for a month and 3 track days , if you are only going to use them on track the 888's take some beating !!

As S02s are no more, what would be ideal for summer road with odd trackday?

My current tryes RE050s are fine for road and wet so I'll stick with them for winter.

They look good but look like all weather tyres and not summer/track tyres.

Bondy speak to Chris (Coolchris) I think you live the same way ish? He had someone local to him get a set of so2's at a very good price. I've had them before and they're great in the dry, but I now have eagle f1's with the v pattern (gsd3's) and I love em for summer tyres. Only problem is they're fookin expensive!

RSR are dirt cheap, about 150 for the rear.

Corsas were 230+ so good assuming they perform (and nothing I've seen has been bad about them)

Fitted a rear set of these Brigestones a few months back, seem very good

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Bridgestone/Pote...

Just noted that Bondy was saying you can't get them, thay must have been old stock, fitted by my local garage for the MOT 2/2/11 for £152.50 + vat each.
