Unfortunately closed thread so I cant post there, but while at the factory the other day had a chat with a few people (and one member of the party had a close chat and got a contact name / number to follow up on).
Anyway, another interesting point - the factory does servicing too (as you probably know) and offer a varying array of packages that you can have done to your car. Many of these are upgrades or alterations. When you visit the factory you will often see more than a hand-full of customer cars outside / inside which have no engines.
It would be easy to assume that they are there to have the engines fixed due to problems. However, this usually ISNT the case. Most are there for upgrades or other work - and not for engine rebuilds....
Moral of the story: Dont assume that because you see a number of Tuscans / T350's / Cerbera SP6's at the factory without engines that they are rebuilds..... COS THEY ARENT....

I would really like to know more about the design and development of the AJP six. That TVR have the balls and sheer bloodymindedness to develop an entirely new engine from scratch when most 'manufacturers' of sports cars buy them from the big boys should be applauded. That the same lump is clearly a labour of love using techniques usually reserved for the race track should be celebrated.
Anyone else want to learn about the engineering detail ....or should I get my anorak?
