Just lost my virginity!

...at bedford Autodrome.
I went on my first track day/evening yesterday at Bedford with Renault UK in my mates 172 cup-WHAT AN AWESOME EVENING!
The evening was run by MSV and the went without any hitch. If anyone is a little bit sheepish about the thought of going on track, don't worry. I found that everyone was courteous on track and 95% of the people got out of your way well if you were quicker.
It went so well and was so much fun, i'm tempted to chop in my Volvo, however much it pains me to say!
(Managed to kill a set of tyres between us though, and everyone seems to say, "you wont be going quick enough on your first track day to worry about your tyres"
)

Edit: Never knew a clio could do 13mpg
Edit 2: MASSIVE thanks to Renault UK and MSV.

What they actually say is that you shouldn't be pointlessly overdriving the car so much on any trackday, never mind just an evening session, that you kill a set of tyres

Glad you had a good time though

Yeah that's so true! Took me years before I realised I didn't actually go any quicker by understeering round all the corners and destroying my front left tyre lol! - would be front right at bedford
Glad you had a good time though

Not saying this is what you were doing but it's a classic newbie mistake...
It's an amazing feeling doing your first track day

It's a slippery slope tho mate and it sounds like you're hooked!
I'm surprised track days don't carry some sort of health warning... the more you do the more you will want to do.. Suppose like taking crack?!!
