A bit has fallen off.

Hi

Pulled up outside a friends house, turned the engine off, heard a clank, looked underneath the car and saw this lying on the ground.

I have the following questions.

1. Is it off my car?

2. If yes, what is it, I assume some sort of stone guard.

3. How important is it to replace it in the short term?

Looks like the gaurd plate from the drivers side front outrigger/brake line manifold area. not a big deal really. just keeps road crap away from the fittings

I'm pretty sure I don't have one of those on my car and it runs fine.

You should be ok to drive it 'til you get it re-fitted

Thanks for that, I did not think it would be too important. Just a bit odd that it fell off after a journey. The joys of TVR ownership!!

It's only held on with cable ties so easy to put back on

Probably the reason it fell off is half of it is missing,should isosceles triangle shaped .

Yes mine fell off and never to be found again. Made some new ones out of light ally sheet. Sprayed black, now perfect and worth having as they do keep the chassis protected.

I am surprised they are not made slightly bigger and come right out to the outer corner of the chassis. This would help prevent alot of chassis rot in that area.
