Has anybody changed the throttle cable on a Duratec engined car with Caterham roller barrels eg. R500?
The access at the throttle body end looks dismal, no-go from underneath; what is the best approach?
Cheers,
Neil

Feed it up from below and fit the inner cable first, then adjust the plastic nut and fit. No easy way to do it.

It is tight to get your hands in. I think you will need to either take off the airbox, or lay underneath to slide the outer cable off (it slides towards the front of the car). Take the throttle pedal end off first.

Edit: just looked at my car and it might be possible to slide it off with a large screwdriver from above - although I haven't tried this myself.

Thanks,
just an awkward job. Was concerned when I found there was no stock available at short notice ( oop North), but saved by Fauldsport. Removing the washer bottle helps with access from below. Not an easy side-of-the-road fix though.
