Having just gone to pick my car up today from ************* after spending £2500 on upgrades I was greeted by a smashed sill about 50 bird lime marks and a severely scratched roof. My car had been left outside to rot in their yard for a month. it's a one of a kind 2010 exige club racer that I have owned from new and is to me at least iraplacable. It has only done 6000mls iwas immaculate and my pride and joy I bought in new from *********. Even though they have admitted liability my car is ruined and will never be the same. It is with great regret that Id advise all of you not to go near them as up to this point I had a good relationship with them spending over £ 53000 with them in total

You wouldn't say that if it was your car
Got nothing to do with my car, I'm just reminding you of the T&C's to which you agreed on signing up. You'll get your few minutes of fame before a mod arrives and then the thread will disappear.More than one way to skin a cat, try being smart about it. Lotus forum?
Thats a terrible way to treat a customers car! They should know better!
I went into a specialist with my car this week for them to have a quick listen to the engine. In doing so they touched the bonnet. Before I was allowed to leave the owner of the garage went and found a new microfibre cloth to polish off the finger print. IMO that's show it should be.
As for name and shame rules, PH are scared of lawyers, but if it is a true and fair representation of what has happened they have no need to be scared.

The only reason I posted is because I would never want anyone to see their car like I saw mine it broke my heart
What are they proposing to do to remedy the situation?Easy for me to say, but don't be too disheartened. Chris Neils in Northwich fully repainted my Elise and did an A1 job. The only difference between their job and the factory finish was that theirs was done to a higher standard.
To be honest it's the car is a one off and has covered 6000mls it's going to need re amour fending and etheir mopped and polished or resprayed to remove the etching on the paint from all the bird lime, also the hole in the sill will need filling and painting. Once this is all done it will never be original the guy I showed the damage too was speechless as he commissioned the car I think there were so many marks on it he didn't know what to say

They sure do and I they looked after my previous exige and like I said I bought this one from them if you go down you can look at my car for yourself
I'll have a look tomorrow when I head down, is it still going to be there? (guessing it's the one on your profile, looks like it's in the corner of the yard next to the service shop). If I'm honest I got absolutely fantastic service on the Subaru side of things, never did get much interest from the Lotus boys (even though I have a VX220 - the servicing chaps loved it) so maybe that's their downfall. It'll be there somewhere the profile pic was when i bought it. like I said I've had loads of good work done by them in the past but this is unreal I swear to you look at the marks all over and then try to picture it a1 mint then have a look at the hole in the passerger side rear arch
