24v cossy oil filter

Anyone know what short filter can be used? the original will not fit in the space available?

I may be able to fit in a remote filter take off though.

Hi, if no one replies sooner , I will have a look at what filter is fitted to the engine in the chassis that is going under my Taimar bodyshell soon to see if that is standard or smaller. Probably later this week .

There is not a lot of room to fit the standard filter, I would think a take off would be better and just relocate to a more accessible place,

I've got Crossland 2131 written in my note book but you'll need to double check if it's a shortie filter.

this one is "Motorcraft 1 555 451-efl90" and is 90mm tall. Not sure how you change it when the body is in place ?? edited to add that this is a BOB engine , I see you are asking about BOA manual in other thread.

I agree - I think that will be difficult especially with that exhaust - it is more normal to run them forward then down and back

I've used a 2WD cosworth filter on my BOA 24V project. Part number EFL298. It's a lot smaller than the 4WD cosworth version which was originally on the car. I had to ditch the remote arm for space reasons and i've fitted the new filter straight to the block.

Don't know if this helps but for the standard cologne 2.9 the alternative parts list notes FRAM PH2854, as suitable. I received 2 in the post today off ebay. The FRAM filter is only 69mm O/A depth. Note on the pic. that my old filter isn't noted on the alterantive parts? however, this was 78mm O/A depth. The diameter of the can is bigger on the FRAM unit (95mm dia.), but the rubber sealing ring diameter is the same (63mm inner dia. and 72mm outer dia.). I have put it on and it fits fine.
