Tenant broke my toilet - need replacement handle
Discussion
Hello,
My tenant left the house I rent out last week so I had to go and check the damage done to sort out any return of the deposit.
I found that both toilets we not working, probably a knackered siphon diaphram but one toilet also had a broken flush lever.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement? The piece broken off is like a 'paddle' about 5 cm long. I need it desperately quick before the next occupants move in.
Phew - 5 minutes later ebay comes to the rescue

With two broken toilets, I began to wonder where my ex-tenant took a pee, but I think I found the answer halfway up the stairs.

If it's a standard handle, any plumbers merchant will have one, or Screwfix.

Glad you're not my landlord, eg. a simple blocked pipe would be a major disaster to you.
Well I'm glad you're not my tenant if you think that breaking both toilets and then pissing on the stair carpet is acceptable behavior. If he'd told me while he was still in there I would have got them repaired at no cost to him, but since he left without telling me he's going to lose some deposit for repair parts & labour and carpet cleaning.
