Steel Rope Crash Barriers.... Safe? Not so sure....
Discussion
I am an MG Owner and a few people on the forums did a run yesterday, when one of the cars unfortunately had an accident.
The driver was fine apart from four stitches to the head, the car will be a write off...
Anyone care to hazard a guess to what would have happened if the passenger seat had been occupied?

Lucky outcome. Every road I know of that had those cable barriers has been replaced.

So the windscreen folds like a crisp packet and it's the fault of the crash barrier and it's not the fault of the driver either for hitting the barrier.
The windshield on an F is designed to save the driver in the event of a rollover, NOT designed for these deathtraps though! Sounds like the driver was on an un familiar road, and was caught out by (from what I gather) possibly an adverse camberGassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
