Anyone been to Cape Verde
Discussion
We went in January, very windy as already stated and was still quite warm. Use lots of sun cream as the wind hides just how warm it is.
The islands are tiny and not very developed, if you want to go make sure it's soon as the big operators are planning on turning it into another euro-standard holiday camp.
Mobile phone reception is 2G only in most areas so you won't get your emails, which is nice!
Cash points very rare, we only saw one so take cash, you won't need a lot.
The locals are very friendly and hapy folk, the usual touts are about but not overly pushy and will go if told to.
If your going to Sal make sure you visit the salt mine, a very odd experience that must be tried.
Money is generally Euros there is a local currency but we never saw any of it.
Beaches are superb, not good for swimming though at least when we went.
Kite boarding seems the thing to do here, didn't get to try it as we were only there for a week.
