Why are Warburtons Crumpets so much better than any other?

Toasted crispy on the top and bottom smothered in Lurpak..... they are so much better than every other crumpet I've tried. I think it's because they are thick and stay light and fluffy in the middle. Yummy!

They are aren't they? I have noticed that before toasting they are almost twice as thick as other crumpets, I expect that has something to do with it.

I tried them and found them to quite rubbish myself. Tried again another time and was equally unimpressed.
