Project Carbon front splitter .

Well after the sucess of the Tuxman racing carbon wing ends i figured it was time to sort out a front splitter , the std one is a bit boring and i,m fedup with repainting it and although the carbon wrapping currently fitted (sorry chappers) is lasting well a carbon unit will be a big improvement so today took the first steps and made the template ,




i have changed the shape slighly but so far im pleased with what ive done today , now to drop off a pro-carbon and see what they can come up with :-)

Nice table end - just the other end, middle and legs to do - and you'll need to varnish the whole thing.

Now where is the splitter mould?????

Ha ha ha sorry joust , if you look you can see a pen line around the wood which is the inside of the splitter the external shape is the finished artical !!!

Hi Gadge , the std unit is over £250 !!!!!! i,m hoping to be the same ish for carbon !!!! still a bit early to tell though !!

Look forward to seeing what it looks like Simon, was wondering if you would offer the splitter with the up-turned side edging as in the link below, I know it might affect the Tux hedge trimmers , but what do you think:

Hi Paul yep like the look of those , there is plans to add some choice upgrades to the STD splitter !!! Hedge trimmers are on the list :-) :-)

not the best picture but thats how i made my splitters give you a tip dont have them projecting over 80 mm with a bigger down stand than 20 mm r you may struggle to open clam iff ride height lower than 110 mm at front mines at 130 mm and you take clam of to gain acess good luck

No plans to make the splitter any wider , front of the car is very sorted just want something that looks better and is stronger !!!

Too much drag, the standard ones work fine if you sort the airflow out from them internally. Tux's hedge cutters probably help direct more air into them.

well at last after 2 months of sweat and tears My carbon front splitter is ready to fit !! been a pain in the arse from start to finish but hopefully it will do the job fine !!

Won't that flap around abit??? How is the rear defusser coming on, I'm burning mine every time I take the car out (exhaust catching)

Think the STD is 120... After spending the week laminating epoxy I have decided I hate it, so much more labour intensive than poly

Is it wet laid or pre-preg?
