Guys, any of you up for doing some trackdays (or rather trackevenings). I am getting a bit lonely out there at times, these are my next three scheduled (or about to be):
Cadwell Park Mon 13th June with Javelin
Silverstone Grand Prix circuit Mon 20 June with Goldtrack
Snetterton 300 Mon 15th August with Javelin
I know we could never get to the numbers (of Nobels) that were at Silverstone a few weeks back but more than one Ultima would be brill

Spoke to Simon the other day and he said that there were around 20 out on track and 25 in the car park....don't think we've got that many on the road let alone wanting to track them!!!
I'll come and watch how you do it and then maybe I might be persuaded to get out...I'm just about to renew insurance but no track days included. Been to CCI but they were 200 over my current renewal.

Hi Phil , we are trying to organise another Noble meet at Silverstone details are
Silverstone GP circuit
19th september
105 dB
Open pitlane
09.00-13.00 14.00-17.00
perhaps we could also get some Ultimas there as well would be a very impressive pitlane !!!
Might be worth approaching the Ultima factory to see if they would attend a event , Noble turned up to our event and it was brillient PR for them !!!!
sorry cannot do any of the dates you suggested as i,m at Le-man and have spa at the end of June .
good luck . simon

I don't think my car will be ready for any of your dates but I would like to think I would be able to do Simon's day at Silverstone in September.
I intend to do the new Snetterton as soon as possible after she is completed too.
Out of curiosity, do you all drive your Ultima's to the circuit or do you trailer it. I do the latter so if I have a problem (as I did at Silverstone before Christmas) I can load it up with the winch and get it home.
I am probably a wimp - but a well prepared wimp!

Hi Paul,
I always drive to an event, although I have not always been able to drive back home! Out of 19 trackdays in it I have had a failed alternator and a broken cam, both requiring a lift home - still as the breakdown man said on my way back from Anglesea "at least you are saving a lot in fuel costs"

I would like to do more, but will probably struggle with the days you've listed due to other committments. With the evenings (which would actually suit me well), I thought they were usually 98db limit, even at Silverstone, which would exclude me - I'm running at about 103db at the moment. Donington is a nice venue and just happens to be up the road from me
If CCI is only £200 more than current insurance and you get 5 free trackdays, I would of though £40 a go was pretty good value?

If only it were that simple............there were a few other things that put it out of the running, plus I doubt that I would do 5 track days a year.Andy

I hear the evening limit at silverstone will depend on the pit or circuit you will use.. The track is divided by 2 different counties each with different noise limits..

98 db is the evening limit but generally the circuit only test on drive by , off the 30 odd Nobles on track we only had 1 pulled up for noise and there was some pretty loud cars there !!!! Oh and he was a ex Ultima owner :-)
Did he have a big single turbo too?

Had a really good time at Cadwell, and lucky with the weather after all the recent rain.
Here is a shortish vid of some of the action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qA2ntUqbCis
Had a little moment at the Gooseneck, at 4:30 in, the fastest one i've done so far! Also an unusual sight can be seen around 6:20. And why you don't want to follow a diesel for too long at 10:25

I think your "moment" was caused by your Austin Allegro steering wheel
Looks like you had some fun but there isn't much room on that track!
Paul
PS/ Makes me want mine finished even more.
I always wondered where OMP had nicked the design from, now I know

The track is 2 and a bit cars wide but is great fun, the UKs answer to the Nurburgring...
