Gurgling from HVAC?
Discussion
Howdy folks. Noticed recently on the OH's car that after parking up and switching off, there's a kind of gurgling glugging sound coming from deep within the dash panel somewhere. This carries on for a few minutes and eventually falls silent.
Am I right in assuming it's either the AC or (God forbid) the heater matrix? There's still a few weeks warranty left and it's due its 30k service soon anyway, but a diagnosis from the wise men on here first would be good.
2007 S-type BTW.
ETA it happens when the AC hasn't been on, so I doubt it's that.

I don't know about your particular car but what you describe could be an airlock in the heater. That's not something you normally get unless the coolant has been drained and not correctly refilled, or maybe some sort of leak has developed in the cooling system. I would take it to the dealer sooner rather than later.

Cheers Steve, as I suspected. Car's booked in for Friday, £249 not a bad price for Jaguar service
V88,
I have a 4.2 S-Type and had a similar problem around 85,000 miles. Car needed all heater actuators replaced and a new heater box. The latter can be a problem with S-Types especially as Jaguar don't make many, but I got one OK. I think the total bill was close to £1000 for the job, but the warranty covered the lot. Not had any recurrence since.

Let's hope that's the end of it then, for both of us!
