Selling a car to be exported

All being a well I'll be selling my car to a chap from Germany. Getting an answer from the DVLA on what exactly I need / he needs to kepp documentation wise is like getting blood out of a stone.

In terms of filling out the V5 - do I fill in section 6 & 8 and then send off to the DVLA giving section 10 to the buyer as you would do normally or do I have to do something different ?

From the buyers perspective is section 10 enough proof of ownership for them to complete the export documentation ?

After you arrange to meet his courier and pay him the extra in the bank transfer, you Should kick yourself in the head.

YOU fill in the export part of the V5 only & send that to DVLA, give him the rest of documentation complete & a receipt with your address etc which he might need to reg the car - eg Germany

As above. I sold an Elise to a German and he needed the V5 to export it. You just send the 'export' section to the DVLA.

Well the buyer is paying cash, which I'll pay into my bank on the day with him present so I'm struggling to see where the scam is and no his name is not Mr.Omooghoo or variations thereof.

I'm assuming the date of export is the date I sell the car even if there is some delay before the car is actually registered by the new owner in Germany?
