I think it depends wether the Embassy grounds is owned by the US government or not.

I'd of thought the Secret Service would of checked wether Caddilac 1 would get stuck or not, so poor planning on their part.

I think it depends wether the Embassy grounds is owned by the US government or not.

Regardless of whether (note spelling) or not the Embassy owns the land on which it stands, that land is not part of the USA. It is, as noted above, fallacious to suggest that Embassies form part of the sovereign territory of the nations which they represent.
