After two and a bit years, a few track days and assorted hooning, the tyres are looking slightly old (not knackered yet, but still....).

Currently they are Toyo TR1's, and I haven't had any complaints - but what are peoples thoughts on other tyres out there please?

Cheers!

Don, trust me mate r888's are brilliant, I need a new set now but they have lasted 20 months and 6000 miles, not that good in the wet(standing water) but not terrible either, the grip is outstanding and I wouldn't have anything else smile

I like the new Eagle F1 Assymetric 2's - they were a great improvement to the GSD3 I had on there.

Another one to consider are the PSS, which weren't yet out when I got mine fitted.

(Edit)
I have to say that the Sag is being driven less and less in inclement weather, therefore the thoughts of a more track-biast tyre really does appeal. But then again my 'tack day car' is just about to be built (hopefully), so what to do..... I must admit, the 888's are very tempting.... Hmmmm.... Maybe one last trackday (and a 400 mile round trip) to finish them off and then some new shoes?

Toyo are having difficulties since the quake in Japan I have heard, 888's are affected as a minimum

I've just noticed that - great trouble even collecting quotes for them (4x 255/30/19).

Anyone know anything about 'Federal tyres'?
