email regarding thread from 17/02/11??

Who else has just had an email forwarded from PH regarding a thread that was started on 17/02/11??

Good afternoon,

I write with concerns of a thread started on 17 Feb 11 and carries through over a period of time. It is about a bloke named Phil Harvey recently coming out of the armed forces and being an MD of his own 4 companies. I will let you read from page 428 - 430 and beyond.

I am Phil Harvey who (guess what) came out of the forces a year later from this thread and am an MD of my own 1 company. This thread was brought to my attention a couple of days ago and I am far from impressed. As I said, I came out of the forces this year however, I am concerned that this profile that has been dreamt up has been updated/changed recently. If you read it you may see why I am a little hacked off to say the least.

What I am asking of you is to explain this and give a good reason as to why I should not go to the police with the printed documents. This is my next step if not resolved here.

This is not a wind up and should be taken seriously. This e-mail has also gone to other people named involved in this thread.

I hope to hear from you with your full co-operation. Please explain your actions as the next step is police involvement.

PS: I am only a member of this site toget this sorted out. I am neither a member POF which is where I got this name from because every link I followed took me there. When this is sorted I will come off here but until then....... I am like a dog with a bone.

There's no link in the email, so no idea what the thread was about. Can any PH Mod shed any light on this??

Have you done a search or gone back through your posts?.

Edit to add that google/pistonheads search brings nothing back on that name?.

We have come to the conclusion that this person assumes (incorrectly) that because his initials are the same as those mentioned in the thread that it is referring to him. We have concluded from our findings that there is no connection what so ever.

To this end you will not receive anymore emails as his profile as a result of this thread has now been disabled.

This is an utter outrage, I for one am disgusted. This man is s COMPANY DIRECTOR FFS. And I get the impression from his email he may also be powerfully built.

To be fair, I can see why you might be a tiny bit miffed if you'd come to the site cold and assumed that thread was all about you.

Can't see why he imagines the Police should give a toss about it though.

(To be sensible for a mo, somebody should probably edit his name out of the thread or he'll really SEE HIS ASS!)
